My name is Skyler Griffin, and I’m the owner of SK Land Solutions.

I’m 20 years old, but my story didn’t start with success. It started with a push mower, a weed eater, and my buddy’s mom’s pickup truck.

Growing up wasn’t easy. I never got the chance to meet my father—he passed away when I was just a year old. My mother battled addiction and wasn’t there to raise us. Like a lot of people with difficult childhoods, I ended up making bad decisions and surrounding myself with the wrong crowd.

One day I looked at the direction my life was heading and asked myself, “Why am I living like this?” That question changed everything.

I turned my life over to God and asked Him for forgiveness and direction. From that moment on, I decided I wasn’t going to let my past decide my future.

I spent years learning every trade I could. I worked in tree service, commercial construction, heavy equipment, concrete, demolition, and property maintenance. Every job taught me something valuable. But deep down, I knew I wasn’t created to spend my life building someone else’s dream.

At 18 years old, I started SK Land Solutions with almost nothing. Just a push mower, a weed eater, and a willingness to outwork anyone around me.

After about a year, I quit.

I went back to working for someone else, but after only one week I realized I couldn’t ignore what God had put on my heart. I left that job, went home, and spent every spare minute studying successful business owners, learning marketing, customer service, leadership, and sales. I became obsessed with finding ways to build something bigger than myself.

The journey wasn’t easy.

I lost friends because I stopped partying. I missed birthdays, weekends, and nights out because I was working. Some family members laughed and called it my “little business” or my “side gig.” There were days I questioned everything. I failed more times than I can count. There were weeks I didn’t know how I was going to make it.

But quitting was never an option.

Then came one handshake.

One signed contract.

That opportunity changed everything.

Since then, I’ve approached every single day with the same mindset: How can I get better? How can I serve my customers better? How can I build something that lasts?
